Gobi Autopilot: Automatic Employee Video Collection
We’ve spoken to hundreds of HR and communications teams over the past few years, and one problem comes up almost every time: actually getting employees to record. The willingness is there — but the logistics get in the way. Emails, spreadsheets, follow-ups. It takes weeks.
Today we’re launching Gobi Autopilot.
What it solves
You add names, pick a question template, and set a deadline. Gobi handles the rest:
- Personalized invitations sent via email and SMS with a unique recording link
- Employees record in the browser — no app, no account, questions displayed as a teleprompter
- Smart reminders follow up with those who haven’t recorded, with adjustable tone and frequency
- Draft flow lets employees review and re-record before submitting
- Consent is collected automatically as part of the process — traceable and GDPR-compliant
You approve the drafts. The video moves on to editing.
Why we built it
The problem was never that employees didn’t want to participate. It was the logistics. Coordinating across departments and locations doesn’t scale manually.
We needed automation that feels personal — not mass emails. Every customer we spoke to described the same bottleneck: coordinating the recording took longer than the actual editing. Especially in organizations with multiple offices and departments, it quickly became unmanageable.
With Autopilot, you don’t have to track who has recorded and who needs a nudge. The system handles the entire flow — from first invitation to approved footage — without you sending a single follow-up email.
Simple for the employee
The employee receives a personal invitation with a link. When they click it, a simple recording page opens in the browser — no login, no app to download. Questions are displayed as a teleprompter, and they can re-record as many times as they like. When they’re happy, they submit their draft. Consent is collected as part of the process.
It should be as easy as replying to a message.
From collection to finished video
Autopilot is step one. After approval, Gobi Studio takes over with automatic editing: subtitles, cuts, logo and brand colors. Gobi Player publishes to career pages and job listings with a single embed code.
The entire process — from collection to published video — happens in one platform.
