You've been invited to take part in a short video

Your employer has engaged Gobi Stories to create short videos with employees. This page explains how it works — and what you're saying yes to.

Gobi Stories is a Norwegian video platform founded in 2015, used by over 100 companies including DNB, Elkjøp, Deloitte and Skanska.

How it works

1

You receive an email with a suggested time

The invitation comes from Gobi on behalf of your employer. It contains a personal link — no attachments.

2

Click the link when it suits you

The suggested time is just a guideline — you can record whenever you want. Choosing a different time is completely fine.

3

You get a few short questions on your phone

Recording happens directly in your browser — no app, no login. You answer by recording yourself on video, one question at a time.

4

The whole recording takes about 15 minutes

You can pause, redo and try again as many times as you want. No pressure.

5

We edit and finish the video

We edit your clips together into a short vertical 9:16 video with subtitles — ready to use.

6

You approve before publishing

You see the finished video and give written consent before your employer uses it. You can withdraw your consent later — even after the video has been published.

What you need

A quiet spot, good lighting and your phone. No preparation — the point is for the video to feel natural, not scripted.

What will you be asked?

General questions about your job and workplace. For example:

  • What do you like most about your job?
  • What does a typical day look like for you?
  • Why did you choose to work here?

You won't be asked any sensitive or personal questions.

Where will the video be used?

The video is used on your employer's career page, in their job postings and on their social media — never in Gobi's own channels.

It won't be published until you've seen the final result and said yes. You can withdraw your consent at any time — even after the video has been shared.

Privacy

Your recordings are stored securely in the EU and handled in accordance with GDPR. You can request that all data related to you be deleted at any time.
