You can now add subtitles to your stories

We’re excited to launch a new feature that many of you have been asking for: subtitling directly in Gobi. You can now add subtitles to your video stories without using external editing software.

Why subtitling matters

Increased watch time. Research shows that subtitles increase average watch time by 12 percent. The reason is simple: many people watch video without sound — at work, on public transport, or in places where it’s not convenient to have the audio on.

Better searchability. Subtitled videos improve search engine rankings. The content of the subtitles is indexed by search engines, making your video searchable on relevant keywords.

Accessibility and compliance. Subtitles meet accessibility requirements for ICT solutions, ensuring that your video content is accessible to people with hearing impairments. In many regions, this is regulated through accessibility legislation.
