How to edit stories

A guide to help you edit the perfect story on your own

1. Split into chapters and trim

  • Easily remove unwanted parts from your video with our trim or split functions for a cleaner, more focused story.
  • Use our split function (AI-split or manual split) to divide your video into chapters, enhancing engagement and view time.
  • We recommend following rule:
    • Around 15s pr. chapter
    • Max 15 chapters

2. Adding text and sticker elements

  • Remember to keep it clean - too many elements, fonts and colors can be distracting for the viewer.
  • Consider the placement of elements like company logos and subtitles to avoid interference with other elements in the story, like subtitles for example.

3. Adding link-stickers

  • We offer the ability to add link stickers to your stories, allowing you to use them as converting elements or Call-to-Action (CTA) to direct viewers to new websites.
  • Again, consider the placement of the link-sticker to avoid interference with other elements in the story.

4. Adding subtitles

  • We recommend doing this through Gobi to make sure your subtitles are not placed over the pause and mute button in the story player.
  • You will also save a lot of time since our subtitle function is automatic based on AI.
  • Keep in mind that many users watch videos/stories with the sound off, making subtitles crucial for engagement.

5. Adding background music

  • Gobi offers an easy way to add background music to your videos, where you do not need any commercial license to use the music

6. Remeber to keep it short and sweet!

  • Try to make you video as short and clear as possible. If your video ends up being too long, consider splitting it into separate stories that could be added to your preferd platform
